Badder than we?
Bad Books Small Press is a teeny tiny publishing operation running massive huge imagination and application, to execution and something else somewhere in the middle there.
We make things that are interesting to us and share them with enthusiasm with anyone who is interested and hopefully also interesting.
We do so gratefully from unceded soverign land, cared for and caring for Wurundjeri mobs of the Kulin Nations.
We do so as racialised migrant settlers committed to our own liberation, security, health, and joys through our collective, connected movements toward greater solidarity with our structurally targeted for marginalisation comrades, resistors, friends and family.
Bad Books is a participation movement, encouraging less spectation and speculation.
We remain aware of our relative contextual position in what we know of this landscape, seek to embrace the endless learning involved, and hold dear the recurrent desire to fuck it all off and not play by inequitable and rigged rules, just make things, share things, make marks, be bad — Bad Books Small Press is everything that feels and falls into a reflexive definition of “publishing” that seeks to express this in as many forms, iterations, and editions as reveal themselves to us.
BBSP is 100% a village raised ting, but if you need someone to talk to about any of what’s going on here, ping through a message and probably it’ll be Joe what gets back to you
