In full fanboy fashion JM finally makes tangible his quiet obsession as a non-exhaustive compilation of photography, lyrics, album artwork and review, music video and film stills, facts and data on/of/by The Only One On Her Job: Simbiatu “Little Simz” Abisola Abiola Ajikawo.
Made with mostly internet images from legends like Adama Jalloh & Jamie Hawkesworth as well as some looser searches, his own photos, illustration by Maisie Miranda, scanned images, YouTube screenshots from her music videos, self directed short films, and the collab with Gabriel Moses amongst others, album reviews, Wikipedia entries, full citations + credits.
"This whole ting, need it be said, has been made for the sole intention of spreading the love, honouring the inspiration, and extending the creativity made possible by Simz’ efforts. This is an offering toward documenting and archiving a living Black artist from the People’s Republic of London in my lifetime, for celebrating life by celebrating the life and work of, and surrounding, one identifiable vessel." — JM
